a5c7b9f00b Set in 2013, after the war has destroyed most of USA, including the government. A solitary traveler is captured by a fascist military group called the Holnists led by Hitler-like General Bethlehem. When he escapes from the Holnists he finds an abandoned mail Jeep and uniform, and starts to travel through small cities, telling them he is a postman, a representative of the restored United States. No one believes him at first, but soon he has followers, and they start to prepare a revolt against Holnists. In the year 2013 civilization has all but destroyed itself. After a war that decimated the government and most of the population of the United States (possibly the world) people struggle to survive against starvation and rogue groups of armed men. One such group is called the Wholeness. This group is bigger than any other and their leader, General Bethlehem, has delusions of ruling the country. A drifter is captured by the group and forced to join. He escapes at the first chance and happens on a mail jeep with a skeleton in it. The skeleton is wearing a postal uniform and the drifter takes it to keep him warm. He also finds a mailbag and starts conning people with old letters. The hope he sees in the people he delivers to changes his plans and he decides that he must help bring the Holnists down. The first time I saw the movie I was probably 10 years old and I was completely flattered by the movie. I totally loved the post-apocalyptic scenario pictured, how people try to reorganize themselves in small cities etc.

However, 10 years later I still adore the basic story, of the postman building a new kind of network in this desert-like rotten place one called USA. I still feel so cozy when I see Costner inside this old car in mitten of the woods and its raining outside. But it is a pity how badly and superficial the dialogues and the characters are. The "good guy"/ "bad guy" roles are so very bold it gets simply ridiculous. I also think the love story is not accurate for such a dramatic film.

Further Ed Wood completely fails in building a post-war atmosphere. Despite the fact that everything was destroyed during war and following weather-changes I felt more in a medieval movie or a western than in 2013. References to post-modern life are totally missing. And I think that is the biggest deception for me in this film. I am disappointed that Kevin Costner lowered his acting abilities to place himself in this movie. The billing to compare this to quality and wonder of Dancing with Wolves was a sham and misleading. If I did not know any better, you might think this was a Mormon plot of sorts, with the polygamy and weirdness of it taking place right in Mormon Country, Idaho and Utah. Using Old Testament and Mormon reasons for the sharing of women and it's polygamist innuendos were more than alarming. The injecting of African decent actors was more than a patronization of the story line. Worse, using the United States preambles all within this maze of the true religionsubliminalit pretended and it's people was awful. One wonders what was going on in the minds at WB to produce such a worthless piece of entertainment (entertainment - it is was not). The story and events are corny and can only be describedmore of an introduction into the cult like culture of the current day territory and region. This movie deserves an NC-17 rating for it's immorality and it's deceptive story line that recklessly embellishes and twists realities into illiterate thinking. Every truly awful movie epic has a point of no return, a moment when the accumulated bad lines and bogus sentimentality become so cloying that the best defense against a mounting queasiness is an awed amusement. The Postman, offers a new opportunity for levity every few minutes after its first hour. Aside from condensing storylines, the film also eliminates a number of characters and science fiction elements from the story. A significant plotline in the book is the efforts of scientists at Corvallis, Oregon to use an artificially intelligent supercomputer to help rebuild society. Similarly, in the book the leaders of the Holnists are super soldiers who were experimented on by the military in order to augment their strength and speed. The film also eliminates the "Squire of Sugarloaf" a leader of a local community who the Postman tries to enlist to help in the fight against the Holnists 1998. 15 years earlier. The film is set in 2013. Yes. It would had gone stale and rotten, after being uneaten for many years and it would had made The Postman really sick. No. Days of Our Lives and Monday Night Football was in The Postman's mind. Michael had the viral disease Mumps since he was 12 years old, which is a common childhood disease and causes a rare permanent loss of fertility in adult males. Yes he did. 2 years earlier, Kevin Costner starredThe Mariner in 1995's Waterworld. Yes. Lily Costner is Irene March's granddaughter Lily. Joe Costner is the Letter Boy, whom The Postman takes his letter, when riding past his house and Annie Costner is Ponytail, the US postal service carrier, whom finds The Postman and Abby and brings them to the US postal service HQ. Abby mentions that when she was Bethlehem's prisoner, he tried several times to rape her. However, he couldn't "perform". This may suggest that he was actually homosexual, but was desperate to try and father an heir, despite him not being attracted to women. It's also possible he was simply impotent. As he blames Abby and beats her for his lack of arousal. 25 Days, 50 Cities, and More Than 600 Consecutive Hoursa Family… full movie download in hindi hd30 Minutes or Less download movie freehindi Attack on Titanthe Unsafe Speed full movie in hindi free downloadAkaKILL!
